The principle of the device

When the pressure reaches the value set by the upper limit springs, the mechanism responds, the contact opens and the pump is switched off. The liquid in the pipeline does not drain back into the well due to the check valve. As the water is used, the well becomes empty, the pressure decreases and then the bottom parameter spring is actuated which closes the contacts, switching on the pump. The cycle repeats.

During the operation of the entire pumping station, the operation of the pressure switch is as follows:

  • the water tap is opened, and the water comes from the filled hydraulic tank;
  • pressure starts to drop in the system and the diaphragm presses against the piston;
  • the contacts close and the pump switches on;
  • water flows to the consumer and when the tap is closed it fills the hydrographic tank;
  • On pumping water into the hydraulic tank the pressure rises, it acts on the diaphragm and the latter acts on the piston and contacts open,
  • the pump stops working.

The relay settings determine how often the pump will start, the water pressure and the service life of the entire system as a whole. If the parameters are not set correctly, the pump will not work properly.
