That I sit here, read zhzh, and I pity me Muscovites, who with their business completely forgot that the hands should work. In general, it seems that technicians are dying out in the country. And those who didn’t die were bought up by the rotten West. So I decided to make a portable air filter-humidifier from improvised materials. There are news reports about fires in the Bryansk region, radioactive soil burning in the forests and all sorts of disgusting things. So this filter will be a working prototype for my vault filter system.
Ok, so what we need to make:1) A water tank with sides more than 10 cm wide., and a convenient neck for the installation of the fan.2) A set of plastic waste pipes. I used a 5 cm x 10 cm adapter., т.к. It is more convenient to attach a flexible hose for air intake from outside the room.3) Bathroom fan with IP44 splash protection. I used a 220v., But in a self-contained shelter, we can also try a 12v., with power supply and backup battery. The power is of course less.4) Bandage or gauze.5) Plastic and cloth duct tape. 6) Knife, marker, wire cutters.
Determine where we have the air outlet and inlet. I used a 17-liter canister that used to be a washbasin. It’s got a 10-cm neck.The air inlet is on the side, right in the middle of the tank. At the bottom there is space for liquid reserve. If we plan to put the canister in the sun and use it as a humidifier, the space on top will play to our advantage, t.к. the air from the filter will not go straight to the output but has time to take some moisture with it. Anyway. golden mean.
We set on the intended place of the input pipe and mark the border of the hole with a marker. Do not forget that we marked the outer diameter, t.ч. with a knife we cut carefully inside the marking. The canister is easy to cut, the main thing is to have a good knife. I recommend placing the canister on your lap, gently and firmly holding it with your left hand. pierce a hole with your right hand and holding the knife with inverted grip (blade towards yourself, downwards, little finger is closer to the blade, thumb covers the end of the knife) carefully cut through the hole, pulling the knife strictly perpendicularly to the canister plane. Never rock or saw, so that the knife does not break off.
We take the input pipe and push it inside of the hole so that there are about four centimeters of the pipe inside. After that, after centering, we take the cloth tape and wind it around two or three turns on the tube. We take out the tube and make a few more spiral turns to the inner end. As a result, we have a cone-shaped thickening on the tube, which allows us to install it tightly in the canister.
Take gauze or bandage. I used a non-sterile medical bandage with a width of 14 cm. Place the bandage in several layers on the inner socket of the input. The bandage should overlap the edges of the inner tube so that it can be fixed all around the perimeter.
We try to avoid parallel stacking of strips, I did a V-shaped stacking, each pass slightly changing the overlapping angle (imagine that you draw a star without taking a pencil off the paper). Ideally, the optimal stacking. 15 to 20 layers. If more than that, it will be difficult for the fan to cope with the air intake. Smaller. the whole filter effect will disappear.
At the end of the packing leave the tail equal to five times the distance from the top of the inlet pipe to the bottom of the canister.
Fold that tail four times. This will be the “power cord” of our filter.
Fix the filter with duct tape. The tail should go all the way around the diameter of the filter, ideally. between the layers.
Firmly place the filter inside the canister. Fill the canister with water up to the bottom of the inlet pipe.
If there is a sealant, it is recommended to dab it in a joint of an input pipe and a canister.
Try the fan on the neck of the canister. If you have a container without a neck size you need, such as a regular canister for liquids, then just make a hole in the top of it opposite the inlet. In my case the fan power cord came in on the air intake side, so I had to cut out a part of the neck for the cord.
Take the fan. If it is less in diameter than the neck-hole, proceed the same way as with the input pipe. Make a wedge-shaped wrap and fasten it tightly. In my case the diameters were almost the same, so I made some semblance of a “skirt” by wrapping the fan housing with fabric duct tape with a small allowance. This “skirt” serves as a seal between the neck and the fan.
Install the construction on the canister, tucking the edges of the skirt inside.
Carefully make a few turns with ordinary duct tape first on the body of the canister, and then move on to the fan. We go under and over the wire several times, sealing the hole in this way.
This is how we end up with the product. Normally it serves as a household dust filter and humidifier. The main thing is not to forget to add water, and occasionally change the dirty bandage. In case of emergency it can help to reduce air pollution in the dwelling. You can connect a corrugated hose / vacuum cleaner pipe to the air intake and lead it outside. As a result filtered air will flow into the house, and due to the overpressure created, there will be an outflow of air through the slots / ventilation holes / tightly closed doors instead of the usual inflow of unfiltered air.
Naturally for the best effect it is necessary to calculate the cubic capacity of air in the room, the size of ventilation outputs and so on. But I think people who graduated from high school it is not difficult. Let me remind you of just one simple rule. for adequate functioning of air intake and exhaust ventilation, the size of the air inlet / outlet should be 1 to 2, provided that the air outlet passive.
I hope my “och” style craftsmanship.Skilful hands” will be useful to people.
It took 30 minutes of time to make the filter, and some junk from the reserves of a man of the economy. Willing to use the idea on a commercial basis. can contact me via PM.

Vertical engines do not have a paralon filter, but a paper sponge on a rubber base, I read the Комментарии и мнения владельцев, fuck, how clever everyone is. Paralon for filters is special, gasoline-resistant, soaked not in oil but a special liquid. You can not put paralon in this engine, it will lack air flow-loss of power, soot in the cylinder. Open a cover of the filter, in the basis of the case of the air filter there is a place of adjoining of a rubber rim of the filter. Measure its length and width, such filters are about 20-25 mm high. Next, go to a garden supply store. Ask the air filter on the engine Champion G200VK, G140VK (for this technique can buy genuine parts) Here’s an example link from our online store (as it looks filter on your engine, good luck)!scooter-zip.ru/category/p…ion-g140vk-g160vk-bc4401/
Thanks! That’s exactly what it looked like! The only valid comment.
Greenpower appliances are in fact low-priced, unlabeled devices ordered from China by Kastorama. Т.е. They are the same engine units as DAEWOO, Patriot, EurosystemsHyundai.
Look in the store (in the same Kastorama) by the look of the same attachments on other machines. And buy a part from them.
P.S. Greenpower feng shui sometimes borders on kolkhoz because of the lack of part numbers as such. But the contagion, cheap, friendly, and most importantly its function works out a noonime by order of Kastorama Russia
If the engine is Lifan, then you need to look for the engine. Lifan filters come in foam with an oil bath and dry with a paper filter. Paper’s more convenient. You don’t have to wash the dirt out all the time.
Usually in such a book (as on the photo) there is a phone number of a warranty repair shop or service center. You can’t go to the store.
I use a foam filter, but it’s not too feng shui.
What do you think these filters are made of??
Was a paper, automobile type, rectangular accordion
Hmm, interesting.They usually have a foam filter on these machines. I recently bought a Subaru motor pump, same thing. And in gasoline generators.
I don’t know about gardening equipment.Yamaha, Honda, Subaru Pumps & Alternators.Japan.
I used to use a paper, automobile type, rectangular accordion
Maybe an auto store for sizing?
You can, of course. But you do not have an old filter and you can not go to the store with your power tiller.
You can measure with a ruler and cut out a template from paper and go to the store with it.
What kind of engine does he have? you have to match it to the engine.
About this I myself have guessed, I do not have a model of the engine.
For example, a standard muffler, it’s almost a tin can, which weakly muffles the sound of the exhaust, and even ejects the exhaust gases in the center of the motoblock than “fouling” all adjacent mechanisms. A self-made pipe eliminates all this trouble.
It can be made of 30-35 cm. pipes 50-70 mm in diameter., The ends of the tube should be welded with plugs, cuts should be made with an angle grinder and metal plates should be inserted, then they should be welded.
Now the exhaust gases are ejected far beyond the limits of the power tiller and nothing is additionally heated by them.
You also need to make and install additional covers to direct the air from the cooling fan to blow-cooling of the cylinder. The factory air blowing is very superficial and in hot summer weather the engine overheats, as evidenced by the potassium ignition during the engine shutdown. Installing additional tin shrouds normalizes the thermal regime, also the upper shroud organizes the cooling of the valve cover.
But the most important improvement, thanks to which it is not necessary to take out the air filter after each cultivation and clean it (if you work on very dry soil), is to raise the air intake point. In a dry summer, the single-axle tractor works in a cloud of impenetrable dust during cultivation (on my property that’s exactly!), so after every couple of acres, it just stalled because of the lack of air supply, to plow the entire garden, I had to disassemble and clean the paper filter five times. After lifting it up, with a 60-100 cm pipe., The filter is able to work infinitely long without dust suction upwards.
The suction pipe mount is very simple and easy to install with two bolts in the frame. Now the main thing after work, be sure to put on top of the can, so that rainwater does not get inside, otherwise you will have to dismantle the carburetor, and it is very inconvenient to do on this engine.
The factory installation of the cable opening the valve is very poor, a strong inflection and as a consequence podklinirovannya, he came somewhere on top, moving it as in the photo eliminates etsu trouble.
The original belt tensioner with one bearing failed in one season, about 10. I could not find such bearing, so I screwed three popular used M10 bearings on it, and they have been working for 6 years without problems and are not going to fail.
The air filter is a consumable item and should be replaced. It is often changed either once in two years or after 7 ths. miles. Buying the original filter is not very easy, first of all you need to find it, and secondly it is not cheap. Therefore, ingenious minds found a solution this time too. Why pay more?
So, for work you need: a filter for VAZ injection (it is on sale in any auto store, cost ± 5), sealant (you can replace it with polyurethane glue, Moment glue), scissors, knife, ruler, pencil and, actually, the nail of the program, worn filter.
After putting all this together and being patient, you can start replacing.
The size of the filter may vary depending on the motorcycle. This post is written on an example of a Honda Steed 600 (approx. ed.)
Cut out the old filter element with the knife. After you cut it completely, you need to clean the surface and wash it with soap and water or treat it with alcohol to degrease the surface.
After that you have here such a body for the filter:
You need to measure the dimensions of the filter (width, height and number of curtains).
Let’s start the actual fabrication of the filter. To do this, you must remove the grid from the back of the donor filter and most carefully disconnect the curtains.
After that you need to count the number of shrouds and divide them by two (in our case the motorcycle filter shroud is lower by half the donor one). After that you can cut off all unnecessary. The rule of thumb: Measure twice and cut once. The rest of the donor filter can be set aside until the next replacement.
We have determined the length of the filter, now it’s time to deal with the width of the filter. We make marks along the whole length of the donor filter and carefully cut it out (we measured the width earlier).
Let’s be glad with what we have reached. We have a decent filter piece.
True, it is twice as high as we need it to be.
Finishing of the filter. We make a marking for further convenience when bending the shutters.
It is possible to use a ruler for bending. This way the edges are smoother and the process is faster.
We are rejoicing! You have a new filter in your hands. Why not compare it to the old one?
We put the sealant on all the points of contact with the filter body. It is better not to be sorry about sealant and to smear it heartily, so in the future the filter would not let in excess air.
We insert the filter, smooth out the shutters. All sealant that has slipped off we use improvised means and squeeze it in necessary places. We bring everything in a God-like form and wait until the sealant dries (it dries approximately a day).
We rejoice in our assiduity, and use the money saved to buy ice-cream for the children and flowers for Granny
How to make a homemade single axle tractor with their own hands
This article reveals how to assemble a single-axle tractor at home to modernize the farmer’s hard work on the plots of land. Tilling, weeding, digging, ripping, seeding, harrowing, hilling, fertilizing, cultivating, cargo transportation, harvesting. all this and other agricultural operations will be performed in a short time by replacing completely manual labor for many hours. With the help of additional attachments a power tiller can be used to remove dry leaves, snow, also used for drilling and sweeping. If you want to save a tidy sum and a lot of time you need to understand the design of this device.
The design of the unit is simple, it replaces the ox or horse, which should be dragged in the old days with a bridle. Mini tractor and power tiller are not always able to reach hard to reach places because of their large size. unlike its counterparts, a single-axle tractor is able to reach and treat even the most inaccessible place.
How to clean the air filter of a power tiller from dirt
Clean at least as often as required by the manufacturer in the technical documentation for the wheeled implement. If you use your power tiller in dusty environments, the filter part must be cleaned much more often.
It is advisable to check its condition after every 8 hours of work and clean it after 30 hours of work. If the element is damaged, it must necessarily be replaced with a new one. often the damage affects the efficiency of your motocultivator. Over time, due to rinses in gasoline, the sponge will swell, which means that it is time to replace the part.
The process of servicing the air filter motoblock in general is not complicated and consists of eight points:
- First of all you need to remove the protective cover by unscrewing the fixing nut “wingnut”;
- Now it is necessary to take out the filtering part, i.e. a foam rubber sponge, from the paper base;
- If it is not too dusty, you can wash it with warm water and a common detergent. But when the pores are very clogged with dirt, you can only fully clean them with gasoline or kerosene;
- Now it is necessary to take out the dry part of the internal combustion engine filter;
- It can be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. If you want, you can wash with warm water, as well as foam rubber, but it is better to clean the paper part narrowly;
- Next, the dry element should be well dried;
- All internal surfaces of the air filter compartment should be thoroughly cleaned of dirt with a cotton rag;
- Now all the elements need to be put back together again.
Service process is not complicated, if you want your machine to work without failures. don’t be lazy to service your single axle tractor in time.
How to make a muffler on a single axle tractor with their own hands?
If you have decided to make your own muffler on a single axle tractor due to a breakage or poor quality of the factory part. first of all, you need to get a minimum set of tools. For the work you will need:
After it is worth carefully familiarizing yourself with the device factory muffler, in order to understand the design itself, to note the weaknesses of parts. Usually such vulnerable places are mounting flange, which is made from low quality metal or has insufficient thickness, septa of the expansion chamber, narrow pipes that complicate the exit of exhaust gases, reducing the productivity of the entire motoblock.
Actually the steps of making and assembling a new muffler should be performed in this sequence:
- Flange mount. Usually the thickness of the workpiece is chosen in the region of 8-12 mm, but the thicker. the better. particularly if the future design calls for the silencer to go upwards.
- Expansion chamber. In fact, it is the main part in the muffler. The exhaust pipe has a kind of thickening with partitions inside. These baffles reduce the velocity of the exhaust fumes and noise during the operation of the power tiller. To make a silencer for a single–axle tractor, it is necessary to place at least 3 baffles in the expansion chamber. Too many of these baffles, of course, help make your single axle tractor quiet, but it will interfere with the operation of the engine.
- Exhaust pipe. This part should have thick walls and not be too heavy so as not to ruin the whole structure. Its diameter must be the same as that of the engine exhaust pipe. This helps keep the fuel system of your power tiller working smoothly.
Here is a detailed drawing for making a silencer for your tractor. We suggest you to watch a video about what looks like a self-made quality muffler for the motor-block Neva:
To make an air filter by your own hands
Air filters are designed to clean dust and microparticles from the air that is fed into the engine. The first filter element was invented by Ernest Sweetland, an engineer at the American company Purolator, and patented in early 1922. Since the product is uncomplicated in its design, it is quite appropriate to ask how to make an air filter yourself?
As for the filters, they belong to the expendable spare elements of the car, and they need to be changed periodically. Therefore, many people occasionally have the question of how to make an air filter, in case of need. It can arise when there is no possibility to buy the original product or insufficient funds for its purchase.
What can you make an air filter from?How to make air filters, without which no car in the world today can work? They are made on automated lines of large enterprises by special technology, and the production for one filter takes about 20 minutes. But if you are interested in how to make an air filter, you first need to buy the necessary materials. This product can be made in many ways, but the main components are always a split body and a replacement filter.
To make an air filter with your own hands, you need to have a certain set of household tools. These are scissors, a knife, a pencil and a ruler.
Having collected all the components necessary for making an air filter, you can proceed to the process of making it yourself, the air filter, in this case, can be made quickly enough, using a new filter, for example, from an inverter VAZ. To do this, you must cut to the size of the original body of the new filter and insert it in place of the used one, all work should be carried out accurately and neatly. Then carefully smear all the points of contact of the filter with the body with sealing compound and do not leave any gaps in order to prevent the filter from sucking in excessive air.
What happens if the air filter is not changed in time?
It is very important to change the air filter on time, as a failure to do so creates a barrier that prevents oxygen from entering the combustion chamber, which leads to unjustified increase in engine power and gasoline consumption. Besides, micro particles in the contaminated air can disable the gasoline flow meter and even the combustion chamber itself.
How often should you change the air filter?
You may check the degree of contamination of the air filter by looking through it to the light, if it is possible, you may clean it. But if it is very dirty, the filter should be changed, the frequency depends on the length and conditions of the car mileage, as well as the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Before the engine swallows the next batch of air, the air filter must effectively remove dust and oil vapor from its flow. Physically it is possible if the air stream interacts with a surface capable of capturing micron particles and even molecules of oil, sulfur, smog, water vapor and bitumen.
The larger the surface, the better the effect and the better the cleaning quality of the air filter. The basic difference of the standard air filter from the nullwik consists in realization of a principle of filtration, namely it acts similarly to a sieve, detaining in thickness of a porous fibrous material everything that is greater than the geometrical sizes of micropores. Whereas the zero resistance filter removes dust from the stream by sticking particles to the surface of the filter element.
In this sense the efficiency of a zero resistance air filter is not higher and not lower than a usual air filter with the equal area of a filtering element. in theory, the zero resistance filter implies the absence of energy loss of the air stream associated with air oscillations in the intake duct, the redistribution of the dynamic pressure of the air stream in the intake manifold at high speeds.
Among the advantages, voiced by the manufacturers of various models of the zero resistance filter, as a rule, appear
- Power increase by at least 5% for a standard engine, without any changes in the engine design;
- possibility of restoration of functional properties of the device, including by means of impregnation of the zero resistance filter with a special composition;
- Changing the unimpressive noise of an ordinary engine to the bass hum characteristic of heavy-duty motors.
Structurally, the filtering device of zero resistance is usually performed according to the direct-flow scheme. with a minimum of turns and elements that can cause the formation of whirling air. A typical filter unit is designed to distribute the air flow uniformly over the filter mat. Thus, the load on the fabric membrane is evened out.
Filter assemblies and elements for the power tiller
In order for your single-axle tractor helper to serve productively for many years, it is necessary to periodically inspect and replace worn elements and consumables. It is also important to follow the instructions for your power tiller and use it only for its intended purpose and abilities. One of the first and initial stages of deterioration of the main agricultural equipment unit. the engine of the power tiller. is the filters wear.
The air filter for your single–axle tractor serves to clean the air that goes into the carburetor. This element can become clogged with dust and dirt over time, resulting in reduced performance. As a consequence. the malfunctioning of the engine.
The fuel filter on a single axle tractor serves as a barrier to the fuel entering the combustion chamber. The filter traps particles of dust, sand and soil in the filter, just like the air filter. Timely replacement of the fuel filter is critical.
