Greeting the teacher, checking attendance.

Checking students’ readiness for the lesson.

Teacher: “Guys, let’s remember what we learned in the last lesson.

Manual tools for planing flat surfaces. wooden planer, metal planer, sherchebels, half-furrow planer, planer, cinderblock.

Teacher: “Guys, who can explain what kind of tool the Sherchebelle is??

A planer is a planer for primary (coarse) planing, to remove a large seam allowance. The blade is semicircular. The surface must be levelled with a planer after the planer is finished.

Teacher: “Guys, explain the difference between a metal planer and a wooden one.

It is distinguished by precise planing. Metal planer planes without chipping in any direction.

Teacher: “Guys, tell us about the purpose of a planer.

The planer is used for smoothing long, large surfaces. Length 700 mm.

Teacher: “Guys, tell us about the purpose of the half-furrower.

Half planer is used for fine planing (long surface leveling).

The teacher: “Guys, tell us what we use a planer for.

A planer is a planer that has notches and notches on the blade that are used to roughen the surface before gluing. Has a shorter toolstring.

The teacher: “In this lesson we will now begin with the topic: Using hand-held power tools in the joinery industry. When working with wood to facilitate labor and increase productivity, workers use different electrified hand tools.

Electrified hand tools are very easy to operate., as it is lighter in weight electric tools are usually powered by 220 volt.

Equipping joinery work with electrified hand tools is called small-scale mechanization. As a rule, electric hand tools consist of 3 main parts. electric motor, cutting tool and housing. In electrified hand tools, cutters are attached to the motor shaft (e.g., a circular saw, or in an extended chuck shaft (e.g., a drill). Number of revolutions of power tool can be changed with the help of reduction gear. There are both geared and gearedless power tools.

The cutting tool in hand-held circular saws is a thin steel disc, used for longitudinal and transverse cutting of lumber. The jigsaw blade as the most dangerous part is fully encapsulated.

The electric planer is designed for planing wood in all directions. There are 2 types of electric planers: with a rotating rotor (motor shaft) and cutting blades attached to it or with a rotating blade shaft connected to the motor by a belt transmission. Planer blades should be the same size and weight, sharply honed and firmly attached to the rotor or shaft. You can remove 1-2 mm layers of wood with an electric planer.

The jigsaw is one of the most popular tools among professionals and hobbyists. Valued for its absolute safety, versatility and ease of use. Electric jigsaw, aka electric jigsaw, is a hand-held tool powered by electricity, has light weight and small dimensions. Electric jigsaw is designed to perform curved longitudinal and transverse cutting of different sheet material. An electric jigsaw can be used for the following types of work:

Straight cuts of different material (plastic, wood, metal sheet, ceramic tiles, drywall)

Sawing out a rectangular or circular hole of varying diameters.

An electric jigsaw is a hand-held power tool designed to make holes by drilling during carpentry, construction, and other operations. Inside the electric drill there are: electric motor, converter of rotation, (reverse), power controller (speed), starting switch. Modern drills have an impact drilling function.

When working with hand-held power tools, safe working conditions and electrical safety regulations must be observed. Care must be taken with the power tool.

Questioning of pupils on the subject material.

The name of the electrified drilling tool.

Name of an electrified planing tool

What is the cutting tool of an electric planer called.

What is a curved sawing tool called.

Work with the vocabulary (remedial work).

The student comes to the dialing board, chooses a vocabulary word, pronounces it correctly, approaches the electrified tool and points to the chosen tool item

Working with a task card (handout).

Task: write the name of the power tool and its purpose in the corresponding frame.

The teacher gives each student a task card and after completing the task the teacher collects the handouts and gives marks for the work.

Analysis of the work performed. The teacher and the students analyze the lesson

Analysis of errors found in the course of the lesson. The teacher analyses and explains the mistakes made during the lesson.

Conclusion of the lesson. The teacher sums up the lesson for each student

The teacher puts the final marks in the class journal and the students’ diaries.

Safety precautions for working with power tools.

Objective of the workFamiliarize yourself with the basic power tools and appliances. Learn how to work with power tools. Learn safety rules for working with power tools and appliances”.

Study the proposed tool in practice.

Qualitative and fast laying of electric wiring, installation of electric board, freezing of sub-grooves in the wall, requires reliable electric tools and accompanying supplies. A good electric tool is indispensable for a professional electrician. That’s why I’m offering you a set of basic power tools. The electrician will also need a hand tool.

an electric screwdriver. There are two kinds: household and professional. Screwdrivers differ in batteries from 9 to 24 V. Available in single-speed and two-speed versions. Most wrenches have a switch to limit the maximum torque so as not to break the fastener head.

Peorator has three modes: drilling, chiselling, and impact drilling. These features make this tool a true all-rounder. Peorator is a cross between a jackhammer and a drill. Professional screwdriver is expensive, but worth it when you have to spend a lot of hours drilling through concrete. An adapter with clamping jaws for regular metal and wood drill bits can be purchased for the peorator.

Plunge cutters can have two parallel diamond discs, or a milling cutter. The drilling process generates a lot of dust, for which reason, power screwdrivers have an outlet for a corrugated hose connected to a vacuum cleaner. Justified when working on large objects.

Angle grinder, commonly known as an angle grinder. You can do a lot of different jobs with an angle grinder. It is necessary to choose a reliable angle grinder for electrical installation works. Why? Often electricians can not afford expensive grommet cutters with a vacuum cleaner, so often cuttrova just angle grinder. You can drill through plaster with a small angle grinder, but concrete requires a heavy machine.

Hex socket bit is a working nozzle for an electric screwdriver for a hexagonal screw. Not often used in electrical installation, but may be needed in some places.

Concrete drill bits look similar to ordinary metal and wood drill bits, but have their own specific characteristics. Tail part is not clamped like a drill bit in the drill jaws, but is inserted in the head socket and has two symmetrical longitudinal grooves, which allow the internal percussion mechanism to vibrate the drill for chiselling stone or concrete. As the shank experience maximum stress and friction during operation, it is lubricated.

Concrete bits have diamond teeth embedded on the whole perimeter of their working part, and it is these teeth that dig into hard material to make a socket for the future socket.

Ceramic tile bits. The concrete bit can chip away at ceramic tile, but not at the ceramic bit. There are diamond chips around the circumference of the ring and a drill bit with a diamond tip in the center. Used where it is necessary to keep the tiles in good condition.

Drywall bit. After the specialists to work with plasterboard are followed by electricians, in the hands of which is a peorator with a circular toothed saw to drill holes for outlets and switches.

Mixer. It is not necessary to buy a power tool, you can get a mixer bit if you have a drill or a rotary tool. Needed to prepare a mixture for mortar boxes, junction boxes, and plastering dowels.

Set of bits. A bit is a tool that can be used to tighten a fastener. The bit fits in the chuck of a drill or electric screwdriver. High-quality bits last a lot longer and do not interfere with the work process.

Set of wood drill bits. Electrical work is often done in wooden structures.

Tool bit, otherwise known as a replaceable drill head with cam clips. Used if the pen has a drilling mode.

Metal trimming disk is needed: for trimming metal profiles, on which the cable routing in industrial facilities, trimming of overhead bars, for trimming metal obstacles and sharpening tools. Discs from reliable manufacturers, more practical and durable. Cannot be used without cover.

Diamond disc. With such a wheel it is possible to make a hole in concrete, brick, stone.

Feather drill bits are designed for drilling large through holes in wood.

Expendables for the rotary drill: chisels, picks, and blades are used for chipping and tapping out hard materials.

Tile drill bit set. Drill bits are designed for drilling holes in porcelain tile, marble, ceramic, and glazed tile. Will not damage or chip tiles.

Metal drill bits should always be on hand during wiring work for installing metal distribution boards and other work, on incoming, floor, apartment switchboards.

A technical hair dryer will help for heat shrink tubing.
