When the tiller is hitched, the machine tends to “jump out” of the ground and the operator has to use his own physical strength to hold the machine. The heavier the single-axle tractor, the less of this effect is observed. But there is a downside: when working on soil that has already been tilled many times, heavy equipment under its own weight is buried and can not move forward, it has to be “pulled” out of the ground again by its own efforts.

Virtually all cultivators are built on this principle. Its essence is simple: the gearbox shaft, where the cutters are installed, is located directly under the engine of the device, and the deepening into the ground occurs due to its own weight.
