There’s the breakage! The magneto should lock somewhere near “vmt”, and it locks when the piston goes somewhere down! Unscrew the nut holding the flywheel to the cone shaft. It turns out: The pin that fits into the grooves on the outside taper of the shaft and on the inside taper of the flywheel and that rigidly connects them in one position is sheared. Flywheel “turned”.
