How to cut silicate grooves. Marking

Partitions from silicate grooves

Not so long ago, we discussed the advantages of partitions from grooves. It is possible that some became interested in this building material and requires the continuation of the banquet, not satisfied with a brief description of the characteristics.

Why we will not disappoint you. In this note, we will talk about the installation of partitions from silicate grooves. Rather, about the preparatory stage, since the laying process itself will be described in the second part.

Suppose that you decided to replace an interior partition from drywall with a stronger and more reliable option. A similar scenario in practice is not so rare. Where to start?

Let’s start with the markup

Without it, dear, instead of a full.fledged square or rectangle, you can easily get a room with impaired proportions. And this is probably not included in your plans. Therefore, we carefully perform all measurements and make marks on the adjacent to the walls.

Now you should decide on the doorway. Remember how successfully the door was located in the dismantled partition? Maybe it should be a little shift for a more comfortable movement?

Take into account the fact that the grooves will have to be sawed with a corner grinder. Therefore, try to play along so that entire blocks come out on the one hand. This will significantly accelerate the work and relieve excess dust. We proceed to laying the first row of partitions from silicate grooves.

In what cases do you need to cut a gas block?

Situations in which the cut of gas blocks is required:

  • By necessity. Blocks saw in factories, adjusting them to the right size.
  • Erection from blocks of arched openings. In this case, a semicircular material is required.
  • Masonry inside the material of reinforcement, wires or communications.
  • Manufacturing of additional blocks for the construction of walls and the construction of an armored carrier.

What tools are used?

Various materials are used to saw aerated concrete blocks, from a conventional hacksaw and ending with an autonomous machine for cutting. Each tool has its advantages and disadvantages, as well as features of use.

Cutting machine

For cutting gas blocks, you can use the cutting machine for cutting. It provides high accuracy of work. It is used for crushing massive blocks, receiving at the output the building material of a given size.

The cutting machine is represented by a metal frame that is equipped with elements such as:

  • Saws or strings to cut the block.
  • Electric drive.
  • A screw with a launch mechanism that is used to remove a hump.
  • Firewood for moving the frame.
  • Tails on the rails.

The block is passed through the snack to get even sides. Then they lower the frame with the strings that divide it into parts.

Pros of using a cutting machine:

silicate, grooves

Using the machine, you can give the block any shape and size. However, it is used mainly in enterprises involved in the manufacture of aerated concrete blocks. Although, if desired, the machine can be installed in any room, even in a small garage or on the street under a canopy.

There are several varieties of saw for cutting aerated concrete blocks:

Sable

Sabbating saw is a tool operating from the mains. Outwardly, it is similar to an electrician. The saw of the case with the handle and the cutting canvas consists. With its help, you can perform direct and figure cutting, but to obtain blocks of a complex form, a certain experience is necessary. From the first time, it is not always possible to cut the desired structure.

Saber saw covers the block with a flat metallic canvas. The user has the ability to control the speed of cutting and adjusting the depth of the pendulum passage, which varies within 2-5 cm.

Advantages of using a saber saw:

  • High cutting speed.
  • The accuracy of the saw.
  • The ability to use a tool for a closed cut, that is, the block is not completely sawn, but to a certain depth.
  • The ability to cut the grooves.

The disadvantages of the use of a saber saw include:

  • Price. The average for one.time use at home to buy such an tool is inappropriate.
  • The need to acquire cutting canvases in return for worn out. Complete with the tool they do not go.

Alligator

Alligator saw is a power tool equipped with a working case and two mobile edges. They cut aerated concrete blocks due to their progressive work. The movement of one tire is directed forward, and the second. back. According to the same principle, the crocodile chews food (it is for this reason that the saw received such an unusual name).

The gas block is easy to cut with a saw “Alligator”. Its sharp teeth instantly grind soft porous material, so the user will not have to apply special physical efforts.

  • High speed of work.
  • The stability of the tool.
  • Safety of application.
  • Unstressed cutting.
  • Blocking work when clogging teeth.
  • Simplicity of operation.
  • The presence of a hexagon and paintings included.

The minuses of the tool include:

Alligator is equipment for professional builders.

Chain

Chain saw is a universal tool that can be used to cut aerated concrete blocks. It is represented by the following elements:

  • Chain that acts as a cutting tool.
  • Saw tire.
  • The mechanism of tension.
  • Block.
  • Lubrication system.

The chain works from the mains, the blocks are sawn due to the movement of blades in a circle. The main advantages of the tools:

  • Lack of blows during cutting, which eliminates the jamming of the mechanism.
  • High power that allows the work as soon as possible.
  • The ability to perform a slot in an erected wall.
  • Simplicity of use. Even a beginner can understand the principle of the saw.
  • Impeccable cutting of U-shaped blocks.
  • High accuracy of the saw.
  • Fast loss of sharpness.
  • High price.
  • The need for constant control of the tool overheating.
  • Large thickness of cut in a block.
  • Clogging the engine with aerated concrete dust.
  • The need for strict compliance with safety measures.

Manual

Manual saw. the most common tool for cutting gas blocks.

silicate, grooves

For work it is better to choose blades with winning attacks, as they will last longer.

The thicker the saw, the more accurately it will be possible to make a cut.

  • The need to apply physical strength.
  • Slow speed.
  • The need to purchase a metal square, which allows to eliminate the skew of the saw.

Ribbon

Ribbon saws compared to their analogues have a complex design more reminiscent of the machine. The tool is represented by a case, electric drive and two pulleys on which a strip saw is worn. It is pulled using a special mechanism. The tool can be used for straight and oblique cutting, for sawing at an angle and to give blocks of different shapes.

Seeing the walls of silicate blocks

In addition to high strength and ideal geometry, walls from silicate blocks are also good sound insulation, reaching 58 dB with a standard for inter.apartment partitions according to SNiP. 52 dB. At the same time, it is important to comply with the basic rules of noise insulation. to prevent incomplete seams in the masonry and the presence of voids in the accession to ceilings, since noise can freely pass through them.

After conducting an experiment in a real residential complex built of silicate blocks, construction expert Pavel Kokarev discovered that the sound from a working TV in one apartment with an intensity of 85 dB, passing through a partition from a silicate, lost his power up to 25 dB in an adjacent room. Thus, the declared level of soundproofing is confirmed, which exceeds the normative.

Which is better. a groove slab or aerated concrete?

The type of material is selected depending on the scope of use. Pas.grained slabs for partitions are better than aerated concrete, since they do not need plastering before decorative decoration. PGP has a high sound absorption coefficient. Aerated concrete is a more universal material that is more often used to build external walls. Unlike grooves, he is able to withstand severe frosts.

Depending on the design, the blocks can be divided into two types:

Gypsum grooves

Made from brands G-4 or G-5. GIPS is an environmentally friendly substance, so such blocks meet sanitary and hygienic requirements and can be installed in living rooms. So that the design can be used in places with high humidity, a domestic slag and Portland cement are included in the part of the groove slab. They give the block hydrophobic properties. So that water.repellent slabs can be distinguished from ordinary ones, the surface is painted green.

Silicatical groove slabs

For the production of blocks, you need a mixture of water, sand and streamlined lime. The composition is placed in a chamber where large pressure is created and dense material is formed under the influence of high temperature. Silicature groove blocking plate provides a higher level of heat conservation and absorbs water less. It is used to install walls in cases of high humidity. Like gypsum PGP, silicate blocks are not afraid of fire and do not emit harmful substances. Even with a significant increase in humidity, the material does not rot and does not lose its shape.

Fasteners for grooves

During the operation of walls and partitions from PGP, there is often a need to hang regiments, paintings and other items on them. Since the blocks are of low density, you need to use special mounts. These include a dowel for a groove slab. The installation process is carried out as follows:

  • A drill is selected, the diameter of which corresponds to the size of the dowel.
  • A hole of the desired depth is made in the plate.
  • The dowel is inserted, which is fixed using special spacers.
  • A screw is screwed into it.

The maximum load on such a mount is not more than 60 kg. If it is necessary for the partition to withstand heavier objects, through structures are used. Such mounts have spacers that pass through the entire stove through and fixed on the opposite side. You can use anchor elements that can withstand weight up to 200 kg.

How to cut grooves

For partitions inside the apartment, gypsum grooves (PGP) are a good alternative to brick, foam concrete blocks and drywall.

PGP are gypsum blocks 50×66 cm. Thickness 8 cm. They are called so because the grooves are selected on the two ends of the block, on the other two there is a comb that is inserted into the groove. As a result, the partition from the PGP is assembled as a constructor. A smooth and strong wall can be built with your own hands.

  • high installation speed;
  • The final wall is smooth, does not need putty;
  • the material is easily cut, a minimum of tools and additional materials is required.

The sequence of installation of grooves with your own hands

PGP partition is placed on an even hard base. On the floor slab or screed, if it is strong. It is important that the foundation is even. Align the first row of slabs with glue (as is done with brickwork, the level of which is equalized by raster) will not work.

Where the slabs are adjacent to monolithic supporting structures (floor and walls) placed a soundproof substrate. For example, cork tape. It will prevent the worship of the noise from the ceiling to the partition.

PGP gathered for gypsum glue. In the Volma, this is the “Volma glue”, for Knauf. “Knauf Fugen”. In addition to glue, the plates of the first row are attached to the floor on additional corners. You can take suspensions for drywall ceiling. One edge of the suspension is cut off for metal scissors so that it is placed in the groove of the stove. This end is screwed with self.tapping screws. The second edge on the dowel of the nails is attached to the floor.

Groove slabs can be assembled both with a spike and a groove up. convenient when the groove is turned upward. it is easier to fill it with glue. Then, at the bands of the first row, you need to cut the spike.

The slabs are installed on gypsum glue and, if necessary, are knocked out with a rubber kiyanka to the level.

In a row, the whole number of plates is usually not placed. Therefore, the latter has to cut. For this, a regular hacksaw on wood with a large tooth is suitable. Hollow PGP is easily sawn.

The rest of the plate can be put at the beginning of the second row. Thus, fewer scraps will remain and the necessary displacement of the seams (running) will be observed.

The seams in different rows should be shifted relative to each other at least 10 cm.

The partition from the PGP is attached not only to the floor, but also to the walls. At all, the partition should be at least 3 fastening points. Made by the same straight suspensions for drywall ceiling.

To get a perfectly even, which does not require putty, the wall is necessary that the glue seam is no more than 2 mm. To do this, it needs to bred inext. And small volumes. it freezes quickly. If you knead in a dirty bowl, it will freeze even faster.

The last row of the PGP is not placed on the ceiling for the stout. you need to leave a small gap. Loaded floor slab can bend a little. If at the same time it will touch the partitions, then cracks will definitely go the wall. Therefore, between the grooves and the ceiling, a gap filled with mounting foam is left between the grooves and the ceiling.

The location of the partition to the walls (internal angles) is protected from cracking. Just like the seams of GKL.

If the opening is less than 90 cm, then no additional tricks are required. The opening is overlapped with two plates. Under them. until the glue is hardened. a temporary !!Br0ken!! I remind you that the opening is considered the width of the door of the door of 10 cm for the box and technological gaps that it could be leveled.

In the upper part of the opening with a width of more than 90 cm, you need to make a mortgage from a beam or a metal corner. Doors to the partition from the grooves are mounted with frame dowels scored in the seams between the plates.

When the glue froze, the PGP partition is ready for staining or pasting with wallpaper. Additional putty is not needed. If you need to hang something on such a partition, it is better to use universal plastic dowels. On a continuous basis, they behave like an ordinary dowel. And when it enters the cavity, they are twisted into a knot, working like a dowel-butterfly.

Opportunities and advantages of installing partitions on their own

The price of gypsum grooves with a full basis can be considered budgetary, which determines the possibility of using material for the implementation of large.scale projects. Independent construction of the partition, can reduce the cost of septum and installation work by at least 40%.

The light design does not require strengthening the floor and its supporting frame, the groove connection and adhesive installation of the plates will help to avoid gross mounting errors. Pas.grained slabs are processed with a manual tool. How to mount partitions from the PGP you can read at the link.

Features of processing grooves of gypsum panels

There are no restrictions on the upper or lower location of the ridge. In practice, the comb of the panels of the lower row is cut off, since with the upper groove arrangement, adhesive installation is significantly simplified.

The slabs are mounted with a displacement of vertical seams by at least a third, in this version the partition receives additional resistance to horizontal loads.

The errors made during the installation of panels must be corrected for 8-10 minutes, before the start of hardening of the glue. If the defect is not eliminated in a timely manner, the adhesive compound acquires a monolithic strength, therefore it is made practically non.graceful.

How to cut aerated concrete blocks: 5 suitable tools

We talk about the features of the cut of aerated concrete blocks and describe in detail the five possible options for sawing aerated concrete with different tools.

Easy and durable aerated concrete are highly appreciated by developers. It is used as a heater and as a building material for the construction of residential and economic buildings. In the process of construction, cutting is often required. In the presence of some skills, it is easy to perform it yourself. We’ll figure out how to saw aerated concrete blocks and how to do it right.

All about the cut of gas blocks

Building material belongs to the Penteaton group. Their main characteristic is the presence in the structure of a large number of air bubbles. This property is determined by production technology. Prepared raw materials, and this is high.quality cement, quartz and aluminum powder, poured with water. After that, the blanks are sent to autoclave or hardened in natural conditions.

In any case, the result is a hardened foamed mass, cut into geometrically accurate blocks. They are of different sizes, but usually much more than the usual standard brick. This accelerates the process of erecting the structure, but also somewhat complicates the pruning of gas blocks. They need to be cut if the whole element is not included in the masonry row if the blanks of a non.standard shape are needed, for example, for the construction of an arch, when you need to cut the strokes for reinforcement, etc.

Only dry details can be cut. And that’s why. The foamed mass of the unit is well lends itself to the cut, but the partitions between the air bubbles are not cut, the tool breaks and crumbles them. Because of this, a large amount of fine dust is formed, which remains in the place of cut. If the block is dry, during the movement the blade pushes it to the surface. Then the tool moves easily and smoothly. If aerated concrete is wet or frozen, the blade crumbles partitions, but cannot remove the formed moist dust. She sticks to the canvas, which “knit” in the thickness of foamed concrete and cannot move.

Another point that needs to be taken into account when cutting is the density of the material. The higher it is, the more efforts will have to be made when sawing. The dense. structural gas blocks. In their labeling there are numbers from 400 or more.
