Determining the year of manufacture of the battery

In this case it is necessary to look at the production code, which is printed on the upper cover. Here, the fourth label is the year, and the fifth and sixth are the month. For example, G2C3080520991 847205 35E 09. 3 (2013.) and 08 (August).
VARTA also uses color techniques to denote the quarters in which the production took place: I.2012. green, II.2012. red, III.2012. pink, IV.2012 is white, I.2013. gray, II.2013. orange, III.2013 is yellow, IV.2013. blue, I.
Mutlu, Topla, TAB
Six digits are stamped on top of the Turkish Mutlu battery. While the first is the line number, the second is the year and the fourth is the month. The last two numbers stand for a specific date of issue, probably to punish in case of any dishonest workers who were on duty on that day.
As a result, the marking 340527 decodes as May 27, 2014. Topla and TAB use a 14-digit code, of which the third and fourth characters represent the year and the fifth and sixth represent the week.

Westa, Docker, Vortex, Forse, FireBall, FB, Uno, Dominator
There are two groups of numbers. The first includes four digits, the second six. The fifth and sixth digits indicate the year, the seventh. the half-year, the eighth. the serial number of the month in the given half-year. The last two digits are the number of the month. Example: 3384 141612. June 12, 2014. The heavy group of batteries of the above brands has its own marking, for example 14013253, where the fourth and fifth characters. the year (2014), the sixth. the half-year (2), and the penultimate. the serial number of the month (November).
Tyumen Batbear, Yamal, Arctic Batbear, Tyumen Bear, Akteh, Orion, Beast, ZD, Amur
Six digits are printed on the back wall. The decoding is very simple: 022014. month 02 (February) 2014. In case of Akteh, Orion, Zveron, ZD brands, look at the upper cover, the number of digits is less. For example, 0514 means the battery was manufactured in May 2014. Exactly the same in the case of Amur batteries, only the code is applied near the plus terminal.
Cobat, Titan, Panasonic, Furukawa Battery
The Cobat and Titan have five characters in the center of the cover. The first is the day of the week, the second and third is the number of the week of the whole year, and the fourth is the year.
Here it is worth noting that years are indicated by Roman letters: H. 2011, V. 2012, N. 2013, Z. 2014, P. 2015, A. 2016, S. 2017, T. 2018, X. 2019, L. 2020. Therefore, the code 108V1 means that the battery left the assembly line on Monday of the eighth week of 2012.
For Panasonic and Furukawa Battery the date is easier to decipher: 211213A. December 21, 2013.
In all other cases you’d better check the calculation algorithm on the producer’s official site. Additionally, it’s worth pointing out that the best battery is the one that’s as fresh as possible.
And you’d better get rid of the ones that have been sitting in warehouses and shelves for almost three years.
